Small groups
Small groups are at the heart of the church and the best way to get to know others, grow in faith and receive pastoral care. Our SVC small groups range from traditional home groups, prayer groups, community outreach groups, activity groups, age-related groups and interest groups. We believe no one should be doing life alone. We’re better together.
As a vital part of our current series A Time to Pray, from Easter to Pentecost Sunday, we want to learn and be reminded together to pray the way Jesus taught.
Check out The Prayer Course and join us in the chapel at 252 Forrest Hill Rd on Tuesday nights at 7pm, or in your regular small group (at your usual time and space).

Young Adults
Meeting fortnightly, Tuesdays at 7.30pm. A super-chill group of young people (most of us are in our early 20s to early 30s), meeting up to share snacks, fellowship and a message/discussion. Social nights once a month. Newbies always welcome!

Applied Faith
Fortnightly, Wednesdays, 7-9pm at Sean & Keryn’s place in Torbay.
Prayer, chats and casual Bible study about doing life with God in a real way. We are mostly parents with school-aged kids. All welcome.

Better Together
We’re a friendly bunch of mostly parents of high school/young adult kids and four-legged friends meeting weekly, Wednesdays, 7.15-9.15pm. Anyone welcome to join us for The Prayer Course 30 April through to 11 June, and beyond.

(Re)learning how to pray
Join us in the chapel at 252 to learn and be reminded together to pray the way Jesus taught, each Tuesday night 7pm, or in your regular small group (at your usual time and space). Each week we watch a 20-25 minute teaching video, followed by a small group discussion and a time of practical prayer.

Prayer Course Beach Haven / Birkdale with Rob and Nerida
If you live in or near the Beach Haven/Birkdale area, you can participate in the eight-session Prayer Course near home.
Join us weekly to learn and be reminded together to pray the way Jesus taught. Each Tuesday, 7.15pm to 8.30pm, we will watch a 20-25 minute teaching video, followed by discussion and a time of practical prayer. -
Maarten & Annie's Home Group
We are a mature, fun loving, coffee drinking bunch of people who meet Wednesday nights fortnightly to enjoy friendly study, sharing of thoughts and life experiences. All welcome!

Foodbank Night Pack Crew
A group to do some packing for Foodbank and get to know one another. Suits people with kids at youth group or anyone interested in being involved in a community-facing activity. Wednesdays 7pm at church.

Fortnightly, Wednesdays, 7-8pm in the SVC Chapel
Got a heart for prayer? Join us in the SVC Chapel, each alternate Wednesday evening as we pray for our church, individuals and the community. All welcome!
