With the rising cost of living, many families are struggling to afford everyday essentials, including kai. Many churches want to help but lack the resources or volunteers to run a food bank, while the food banks and social supermarkets already doing this work need goods, resources and volunteers.

We’re proud to be hosting the North hui in the “Local Churches & Kai Security” series, run by the One Heart Auckland kai security action team. Join us at Shore Vineyard Church on Thursday 19 November at 7am to hear what is already happening and what is possible in our part of the city. You’ll hear about simple, scalable ways to get involved sustainably, and meet others who might want to work with you. Church and Christian community leaders are welcome, so feel free to share this with others who may be interested. A koha is much appreciated for a light breakfast. RSVP here
